Small acts of kindness can have a profound impact on your marriage. By blessing your husband, you’re not only showing him how much you respect him but also creating a positive and loving atmosphere in your home.
Be genuine and not sarcastic. If you say something be sure you mean it. Even if he doesn’t do much with the kids or around the house, find something small to compliment him over.
- Tell him you respect and admire him as a person.
- Men want to know you respect, admire, and appreciate them and they need these at the core.
- Be physically flirtatious with him.
- Give him a night out with buddies.
- Clean his car.
- Why is it that men almost always have cleaner cars/trucks than women? Women care about the house, men care about the cars. Whatever the reason… he’ll appreciate it.
- Thank him for working and providing.
- Even if he is out of work. Even if he doesn’t bring home much. Acknowledge him in this area.
- Make time to give him an unexpected BJ.
- I don’t think this needs explaining 😉
- Make a choice to be in a joyful and pleasant mood even when you don’t feel like it.
- Men will choose you to be in a good mood over sex, food, or a clean house. Every time.
- Thank him for what he does around the house.
- Even if it has to be something small, be genuine.
- Shine his shoes or clean his work boots.
- Leave a note in his lunchbox/briefcase.
- I’ve done this a few times and recently found a stash where he actually kept them all.
- Buy or make his favorite dessert and put it where the kids (and you) can’t find it.
- Do something he normally does. Like taking the trash out or mowing the lawn.
- Take a genuine interest in his hobbies.
- Lay out his work clothes and anything else the night before.
- Leave the kids with a parent/friend and greet him at the door wearing nothing but a smile 🙂
Blessing others is a biblical principle that can bring great joy and fulfillment.
Romans 12:10 – “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.”
1 Peter 4:10-11 – “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.”
Mark 10:45 – “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
It is more blessed to serve than to be served 🫶
